No More Landmines
Freeing communities from the legacy of war

No More Landmines helps and empowers communities around the world by removing the threat of landmines and
unexploded weapons. We also provide support for survivors of landmine accidents to enable them to lead fulfilling lives.

Overview

The Fragments campaign is about saving lives.  Blake’s series of twenty figurative bronze sculptures are being sold for the benefit of No More Landmines.

The objective of the Fragments campaign is to raise public awareness of the art as representing the social problems caused by landmines, and to offer the sculpture in support of a solution to help reduce the destruction caused by these tragic weapons.

Blake is selling one hundred sculptures in the UK to finance the charitable work of No More Landmines in their landmine clearance activities and will market the sculptures as a contemporary symbol of socially responsibility in support this of charitable cause.

The Fragments campaign will continue in the UK with marketing activities being provided by the artist as well as No More Landmines over the next few years in order to realize the total value for the charity.  A similar operation is to be conducted beginning in 2008 in New York with the remaining half of the inventory, again to be sold for the benefit of a recognized American charity funding landmine clearance, awareness education and survivor support.

These works of art offer a unique opportunity for companies to empower their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy.  Both individuals and companies can realise a tax efficient opportunity to support the arts and participate in a great cause with documented results.

Prices for sculptures start at £ 12,000, with a minimum of 75% of the sales price being a directly tax deductible donation to the charity. Corporate art buyers will benefit from an original bronze sculpture that provides an identifiable and enduring public relations message while supporting a charitable initiative.

After the exhibition, field reports will be issued by No More Landmines outlining specific clearance details with accompanying documentation supporting how participating companies or individuals have made a difference in the lives of people and communities.
